Ryan Finnegan, the Guards state public affairs officer, said cadets typically drive to this type of exercise, but in this case, it worked out to fly them. He said they decided to leave the helicopter on campus for about an hour to give the Carroll community a chance to take pictures and get an up-close look.The Guard also sent a helicopter to Missoula to pick up cadets from the University of Montana for the event. Weve been getting calls from the community about businesses that are open and that dont appear to be essential, said Drenda Niemann, county health officer and director of Lewis and Clark Public Health. Weve been working with law enforcement and the county attorneys office regarding enforcement of the governors order, and we all think its important for the community to understand that we take this order seriously.
