With this improvement, the City Council responds to a demand from the neighbors, the Municipal Police and also the Casino de la Reina Community Center and the La Casita Open Center, which are located inside this facility. This park is one of the most outstanding green areas of the district. It has spaces for the elderly, as well as children's play areas. The park also has sports courts and a large dog area. This action in the Center district is in line with the strategy ofthe Government Area of 鈥嬧€婾rban Planning, Environment and Mobility to improve and condition the green areas of the capital. Only in the first six months of the current mandate, the City Council has completed 12 rehabilitation projects in green areas of the capital, which total an investment of 11.6 million euros and which have meant the transformation of parks such as Las Cruces ( Carabanchel), Olof Palme and Pradolongo (Usera), the Falls (Villa de Vallecas) or Duque de Ahumada (Vic谩lvaro).
