stanley cup nted to give it back to the museum. The siren had been sold for scrap back in 2002, where it made its way to Toronto, McSheffrey said. When it was returned to us recently, we had it restored by the Renfrew Industrial Commission, Marshalls Welding and Fabrication and Sweet D茅cor. We also had help from Renfrew Hydro and Renfrew Power Generation in reinstalling the siren. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW McSheffrey said the siren is one of the featured artifacts in the museum moving forward, and Reesor will be a guest at the unveiling ceremony.She added that while the siren is an important piece of history, the oldest and largest artifact is the museum itself. The mill, currently housing an ever-expanding collection from Renfrew and area, was built in the mid-1850s by John McDougall and donated by the OBrien and Murray families in 1969.
